Bring Trafford Back to Nature

We are currently seeking funding for a new project ‘Bringing Trafford Back to Nature’ in the North Group area and would appreciate your support in developing the funding bid, by filling in the questionnaire below.

This project will reach out to young people and socially and economically disadvantaged groups within the Trafford area. If the bid is successful the funding will employ a Community Engagement Officer to run events, provide training and deliver practical conservation work. The Officer will develop a task force from the local community via apprenticeships, volunteer trainee placements and wider community volunteering. This local task force will take the lead in physically improving the local environment and will also help to organise events, education opportunities and family activities.

The local community will be supported and encouraged to take ownership of their local natural environment through a project steering group where local people will work alongside representatives from North Group, CWT staff and other project partners to influence outcomes of the project. We hope that this project will strengthen our presence in the North of the county and provide many more opportunities for members in your area to get involved with the work of the Trust.
