Black Firs Wood Action Project

Volunteers Needed

The Cheshire Wildlife Trust is looking for volunteers to help out with practical conservation work days at Black Firs Wood nature reserve in Congleton from 10am to 4pm on:

Saturday 6th February
Friday 19th February
Sunday 28th February
Thursday 4th March
Friday 12th March
Saturday 13th March
Friday 26th March
Sunday 28th March
Friday 9th April (celebration day)

The site is a small woodland, which requires urgent work to restore access and improve biodiversity. The project is open to all volunteers, and conservation tasks will include pond restoration, footpath restoration, scrub clearance and general tidying up.

Any time that you could spare would be really valuable. If you would like to come, please contact Jennifer Taylor on jtaylor@cheshirewt.cix.co.uk or phone 01948 822223.

All sessions are weather permitting, so please call Jennifer or CWT Reception (01948 820728) during the week before and let us have your contact details in case of last minute cancellation.
