Wild and Wonderful at Trust Family Day

Families enjoyed a wild and wonderful day out at Cheshire Wildlife Trust’s HQ at Bickley Hall Farm near Malpas on Monday 24th August.

Around 40 parents and children took part in a nature trail, mini-beast hunting, moth trapping, pond dipping and art activities led by wildlife experts based at the Trust.

The families were taken on walks around the farmland and enjoyed activities in the former milking parlours, which have now been adapted into an education area.

“We invited our members so they could enjoy an informal and interactive day at our HQ, see some of the wildlife that lives here and learn more about our work,” said Jennifer Taylor, People and Wildlife Officer, Cheshire Wildlife Trust.

“Everyone had a really great time and we look forward to introducing more people to the farm to help them learn about conservation in a fun way.”

If you are interested in becoming a member of Cheshire Wildlife Trust please call 01948 720728 for further information. Family membership starts from as little as £3.50 per month and includes invitations to events, copies of the Trust’s tri-annual magazine and much more.
