Corporate volunteers get stuck in for Cheshire Wildlife Trust

Twenty employees from Chester-based Capital Incentives & Motivation (CIM), part of Accor Services swapped office life for the great outdoors this week when they took on some environmental work for Cheshire Wildlife Trust.

The incentive specialists, turned their attention from company strategy to conservation and provided practical help for the Trust during a teambuilding day at the Trust’s head quarters at Bickley Hall Farm.

Enthusiastic volunteers proved they weren’t afraid of getting physical as they worked together to build and repair timber fences to keep livestock in place over the summer months.

Capital Incentives & Motivation was established 25 years ago and is one of the UK’s leading incentive and motivation companies. Lee O’Connor, the director behind the team building day, says: “Having been based in Cheshire for the last 25 years its great that we can make a difference to the environment of which we are a part whilst developing the skills of our team.

“As performance improvement specialists we are constantly striving for the highest quality for our clients and carrying out teambuilding workshops with Cheshire Wildlife Trust shows how our skills can be practised in a whole range of situations.

Allan Stubbs, corporate development officer for Cheshire Wildlife Trust, was impressed with the group of helpers, he says: “The volunteers from CIM did the Trust proud with their professionalism and hard work during the team building day.

“It was great to see them take to the environmental work with such ease and enthusiasm and the work they did will benefit the Trust no end.”

The company also made a financial contribution to Cheshire Wildlife Trust and will organise further team building days to provide practical support in the future.

Corporate support for Cheshire Wildlife Trust is invaluable to the environmental work the charity carries out in the region to ensure that future generations can enjoy the rich wildlife in the area. For more information about opportunities for corporate involvement please call Allan Stubbs on 01948 822205 or email
