Save a Place for Wildlife on Christmas Wish Lists

While much of the local wildlife is tucked up in hibernation this winter, Cheshire Wildlife Trust is encouraging nature lovers to add gift membership to Christmas wish lists to help the charity achieve their vision of a Living Landscape, creating a county where wildlife flourishes in countryside, villages and towns.

A membership package to Cheshire Wildlife Trust is an original and meaningful gift, which as well as presenting lots of opportunities to the recipient, helps to fund vital conservation projects taking place throughout the year.

Dormice, water voles and otters are just some of Cheshire’s special wildlife species that benefit from the work of the Trust, but maintenance of nature reserves and habitat conservation work is just as important to preserve a wildlife-rich county for future generations.

Janel Fone, Chief Executive of Cheshire Wildlife Trust says: “It can be tricky to know what to buy some people at Christmas – gift membership is a fantastic present that will last all year and is unique, memorable and very worthy.

“We have exciting plans for 2009 to expand our Living Landscape in the Cheshire region so we’re confident that new members of all ages will be presented with lots of opportunities to get involved throughout the year or simply be able to see how their support is helping on the ground.”

Cheshire Wildlife Trust is dedicated to conserving the environment and its flora and fauna so that everyone can continue to enjoy the natural world today and in the future.
