What's The Wave?

On Saturday 5 December 2009, ahead of the crucial UN climate summit in Copenhagen, tens of thousands of people from all walks of life will flow through the streets of London to demonstrate their support for a safe climate future for all.

The Wave is organised by the Stop Climate Chaos Coalition who hope it will be the UK’s biggest ever demonstration of public support for strong action on climate change. As one of the members of the SCC coalition, The Wildlife Trusts are encouraging their members to join The Wave.

It will be a family friendly event and people are encouraged to follow the theme by wearing blue clothing and bringing blue fabric and banners to create a human wave that will flow towards Westminster.

The main march meeting point is Grosvenor Square, London at 12 noon on Saturday 5 December but The Wildlife Trusts may arrange an earlier meeting point for their members at a nearby venue.
