Have you seen a polecat?

Polecats have re-colonised much of Cheshire, but we still know little about their numbers and distribution. This is where you can help, by telling us if you have seen a polecat.

Polecats are hard to survey, they leave no distinctive field signs and occur at low densites. However they are not very shy of people and are sometimes seen by walkers or in domestic gardens. Sadly they are sometimes found on the roadside, casulties of the motor-car.
