Local Wildlife Site Surveyor Training
Local Wildlife Sites play a critical role in the conservation of the UK’s wildlife by providing refuges and stepping stones linking habitats and maintaining biodiversity.
The Cheshire Wildlife Trust is running two training days for people who are interested in becoming Local Wildlife Site surveyors in Cheshire and Halton/Warrington. The course content is the same on both days.
The first training day is on Saturday 24th March 2012 from 10.30am – 3.30pm at Tegg’s Nose Country Park Visitor Centre, Buxton Old Road, Macclesfield, Cheshire, SK11 0AP.
The second training day is on Sunday 25th March 2012 from 10.30am – 3.30pm at the CWT visitor centre, Wigg Island, Off Astmoor Road, Runcorn, WA7 1RR.
Ideally potential surveyors should have occasional availability on weekdays in spring and summer to complete training. Once trained surveyors can chose how much time to commit to surveys. No previous knowledge is required, just an enthusiasm for the natural world.
